As Zebec scales its infrastructure and real-world payment systems globally, we’re excited to welcome three new strategic advisors who bring deep expertise in financial compliance, blockchain product development, and data-driven innovation. Their experience will support Zebec’s mission to build the next generation of finance across DePIN, onchain payroll, education payments, and institutional adoption.

Wojtek Zatorski — Co-Founder & COO, Gatenox

Wojtek is a seasoned fintech leader, former VP at Amundi, and Global Head of Engineering & Operations, where he oversaw teams across 36 countries. He has founded multiple successful ventures, including companies acquired by industry giants such as Mastercard.

Wojtek was a key architect behind BLIK, one of Europe’s leading mobile payment systems, partially owned by Mastercard, as well as a national open banking hub and an award-winning mobile banking application.

Most recently, he co-founded Gatenox, an AI-powered KYC and compliance platform for crypto businesses, now part of Zebec’s growing ecosystem. His expertise in global-scale payments and regulatory infrastructure will help Zebec expand responsibly and efficiently into new markets.

Daniel Baeriswyl — Founder, Science Card

Daniel is the founder and former CEO of Science Card, the mission-driven academic payments platform acquired by Zebec in 2025. A repeat entrepreneur, Daniel also co-founded Magic Carpet AI, later acquired by Blockchain.com.

He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University College London, and his work spans AI, science, and Web3 infrastructure. Daniel brings valuable experience in building compliant, real-world financial tools for institutions and will support Zebec’s ongoing growth in the education and research space.

John Vardakis — Co-Founder & Former CSO, Science Card

John is a biomedical research scientist with a DPhil from the University of Oxford. He has held senior roles at leading institutions including INSERM (France), University College London, and University of Leeds.

As co-founder and former Chief Science Officer of Science Card, John led the development of data-driven products at the intersection of academia and finance. His insights into health tech and research infrastructure will help Zebec explore new applications in DeSci, EdTech, and mission-aligned finance.
